CHINATI

The former Marfa Wool and Mohair Building in the center of Marfa houses an arrangement of 25 artworks created by John Chamberlain. Architecturally transformed by Donald Judd and set up by both Chamberlain and Judd, this space features a selection of sculptures like "Falfurrias through Glasscock-Notrees" and "Panna Normanna." These pieces are part of a set of ten sculptures that originated between 1972 and 1975 on a ranch near Amarillo, Texas. They bear informal titles derived from various towns and counties across the state. In 1986, the Dia Art Foundation acquired these artworks, subsequently gifting them to the Chinati Foundation.
